Want to stay in Milano? Done. Daydream about the Italian Renaissance in the DaVinci room? Done. How about spending a night in the same suite that Rocky Balboa once slept in? Done. Done. Done. Yup, the rooms aren’t just named after famous Italians, many have actually stayed there themselves! One look at the guest list and you’d think you’re in Vegas or LA; everyone from Al Pacino and Sophia Loren to Sylvester Stallone and Tony Bennett has experienced the beautiful property. Not bad for Hamilton’s first luxury boutique hotel, right?!

I had a chance to check out C Hotel by Carmen’s on a recent press trip to Hamilton. They must’ve known that I’m a Rocky fan because we got to stay in the Sylvester Stallone suite! It was all sunshine and rainbows – from the cozy fireplace and full butler station to the plush, pillow top mattress on our king bed…

The entire suite was spotless, the closet space was plenty and the washroom was perfect for a group of gals (two sinks and two, large mirrors make getting ready so much more civilized).

The suite also has a two-person Whirlpool tub that me and Natty P just couldn’t resist!

Oh, and the wall is autographed by Sly! Needless to say, the suite is a dream for any Stallone fans out there. Throw in a few inspirational Rocky quotes and it may just be the perfect spot for the athletes and sports fans heading to Hamilton for the Pan Am games in July. No one revs up the adrenaline and inspires greatness quite like Balboa…
All in all, we had a fab stay at C Hotel by Carmen’s. And we aren’t the only ones: with other offerings like complimentary Wi-Fi, pool and fitness centre, onsite Italian dining at Baci Ristorante, free snacks & refreshments and unlimited local & GTA calling, it’s no wonder the hotel has won the hearts of guests around the globe. Next time, we’re staying in the Pacino suite. Hoo-ah!
