If your mom is anything like mine, all she wants for Mother’s Day is time with you. Seriously, that is all my mom ever asks for! I get it: time is precious and as we age, it becomes even more valuable. Truth is, I want to spend time with her too (awwww). So when it comes to celebrating special occasions, instead of buying her something, I try to share an experience with her. Whether it’s a mother-daughter vacay abroad (our DR trip was unforgettable) or a nice brunch in the city, I make sure to spend as much time with her as possible. But enough about me, this post is about YOU and how you could be spending Mother’s Day doing one of my absolute favourite things: indulging in afternoon tea at the Windsor Arms Hotel. Here’s what they have planned for you and your mama…
Join us this Mother’s Day for a Special Afternoon Tea Buffet in our Legendary Courtyard Cafe
A choice of our Loose-Leaf Teas
Fresh Scones with Preserves and Devon Cream
A Presentation of Fresh Sandwiches:
Potato Blinis with Smoked Salmon Rosette
Pinwheel Egg Salad
Vegetarian with Sundried Tomato Paste and Dill Cream Cheese
Croque Monsieur
Goat Cheese and Caramelized Shallot Tart
Petits Fours
A tin of our loose leaf tea to take home with you
$65 per person plus tax & gratuity
Sunday May 10, 2015
4:30pm to 6:30pm
But wait, it gets better. The lovely folks at the Windsor Arms Hotel have partnered with me to give away a pair of tickets to this special Mother’s Day tea. Yeay!! All you need to do is comment below (scroll down to the very bottom) and tell me which of their loose-leaf teas you and your mom are eager to try — they have over 40! See the full list here. Make sure you also fill out the Rafflecopter entry below (that’s how the winner will be randomly selected). Oh, and if you happen to be a mom reading this post and are as altruistic as mine is (i.e. you want to take one of your kids to the tea), you can enter too. Wishing all the amazing moms out there a happy Mother’s Day!
