Confession: I have a love affair with Dyson. It all started about a decade ago when we bought our first Dyson Ball Multi Floor. Amazed by its suction power, I remember being excited to vacuum for the very first time. I pranced around my house thinking it was the best thing since sliced bread. Fast forward a few years and I’m still prancing around the condo (now with a toddler doing circles around me), but with the vacuum of all vacuums: Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute. Let’s take a minute to appreciate this beautiful machine…
The reason I fell in love with the Dyson brand to begin with is because they’re constantly innovating with the consumer in mind. In a nutshell: they make my life easier by making sleek, modern and functional products. In my opinion, there is no other company in the vacuum market that does this so well. And when you vacuum three times a day because of kids/pets/messy housemates, I truly believe a reliable and efficient vacuum can change your quality of life. Here are a few ways the new Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute has changed mine…
Bye Bye Cords: Dyson Cyclone V10 Is Cordless
Hallelujah! This is the biggest selling feature in my opinion. Yes, cords are inconvenient for everyone. But they’re next-level annoying for parents or those who have pets. Why? Kids trip on them all the time and furry friends love to nibble on the snake-like cords. But don’t worry, even though the Dyson Cyclone V10 is cordless it doesn’t compromise suction power: the vacuum can run for up to 60 minutes fade-free. That’s way more than enough time to clean my entire condo with one charge (side note: it takes 3.5 hours to fully charge the vacuum).
Big Machine Suction Power
Gone are the days when I’d roll a regular vacuum over debris a gazillion times until it would finally suck everything up. Dyson has never messed around when it comes to suction: every single vacuum I’ve owned has blown me away with its power. While cordless vacuums have been known to be weaker when it comes to suction, Dyson has somehow created a vacuum that has big machine suction power! I’ve been testing out the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute on our hard floors for a few weeks and I’m so impressed. The soft roller cleaner head removes all the fine dust and large debris from our floors! And for or those of you who have carpet: the torque-drive cleaner head will give your floors a deep clean. Fun fact: the Dyson Cyclone V10 captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. Yeay no more dust and allergens!
Acoustically Engineered & Runs Quiet
Loud vacuums scare kids and pets so the fact that I can vacuum without causing trauma is a bonus. In fact, Little L quickly developed a bond with our Dyson Cyclone V10. A few more years and this could be a good thing…
Big Bin
I love that I don’t have to keep emptying the bin during my vacuum sesh. The Dyson Cyclone V10 has a bin that is 40% bigger to tackle big cleans. It also has a push-lever emptying mechanism so you don’t have to get your hands dirty when the time comes to get rid of all the debris.
Transforms Into A Handheld
Confession: I have an old handheld vacuum collecting dust in my laundry room. It’s useless — no suction power and loses its charge almost instantly. So when I heard that Dyson Cyclone V10 transforms into a handheld I was beyond excited. Having a toddler in the house changes things. I now have to basically follow Little L around to suck up the crumb trail he leaves behind as he learns how to eat. I also use the handheld to clean debris out of his toys, highchair, stroller, car seat… All the things!
Ok so those are the main features that have me gaga over the new Dyson Cyclone V10. Oh, and I forgot to mention that it weighs 5.9 lbs and is ergonomically balanced so it’s great for reaching up to the ceiling to clean the corners that collect cobwebs. Overall, I think this vacuum is a game-changer. It has definitely transformed the way we clean in our house. On that note, I’m off to vacuum. Again.
I received the Dyson Cyclone V10 for review purposes. As always, opinions and reviews are my very own. I have purchased Dyson vacuums in the past and firmly believe they’re worth the investment.
