Built in the architectural style of grand Georgian Bay lodges, The Westin Trillium House is – in my opinion – the place to stay when visiting Blue Mountain. Here’s why:
1. Large Suites: We stayed in a two bedroom suite that had a king bed in the master and two queen beds in the second bedroom. Both had their own en-suite bathrooms (essential for our girls’ getaway). There was also a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with a pull-out sofa bed, a dining table that seats eight and a fireplace. Needless to say, the suite was huge: a great space for a group of friends or families!
2. Comfortable Beds: They have the best hotel beds I’ve EVER slept on. We literally melted into the pillow-top mattresses at the end of each day…
3. Great Amenities: The hotel offers many of the services and features you’d expect at any Westin with an added bonus: two hot tubs and a heated outdoor swimming pool!
4. The Heavenly Smell: A white tea scent permeates throughout every crevice of this hotel. Their bath and body products are also infused with the same calming scent. We basically felt like we were at a spa the entire time…
5. A Great Restaurant: On the main floor of the hotel, you’ll find the Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill. The restaurant is modern, delivers great service and serves up some tasty breakfast! It also has a nice vibe at night.
6. Location, Location: The hotel overlooks Mill Pond and the quaint village. It’s also steps away from the slopes. You really can’t get better than that!
If you end up heading to Blue Mountain, I highly recommend staying at the Westin Trillium House. This was my second time staying with them and I can’t wait to go back!
Our stay at The Westin Trillium House was part of a press trip coordinated by Blue Mountain and was complimentary. As always, all reviews and opinions are entirely my own.
